WA State Will be Paying for COVID Tests in Point Roberts

In a recent Bellingham Herald article titled “Point Roberts trying to help Canadians return with a measure to cover COVID test costs”, it has been announced that WA state will be paying for Canadians who own property there but cannot afford the test or do not have private U.S. health insurance to cover the cost” (Carrigg 1). It is also stated that on November 8th, the U.S. will be opening its land border with Canada and Mexico. Travelers must make sure they are fully vaccinated and have proof they don’t have COVID-19 before crossing the border, as well as making sure they take a test to prove they don’t have COVID-19 when returning to Canada.
